OUR MISSION
Through therapeutic nutrition and holistic care, making the world a better place one animal and one animal lover at a time.
Using food as medicine
One of the most important things you can do to support the good health and longevity of your canine family member is feed them the highest quality of food possible. And the best food you can feed your dog is a balanced recipe you make at home that contains all of the thousands of nutrients
essential for building good health and longevity.
Any pre-made dog food can be problematic for many reasons. Pet food labels are not always accurate, ingredient sources can be unreliable, and ingredients may be poor quality, such as “meat byproducts” – the program describes this as DDD (dead, diseased and dying animals) used as a protein source.
Allergy-causing ingredients may be used. Dry kibble, regardless of cost, has been cooked at high temperatures that destroy many nutrients. Books could be written on the shortcomings of pre-made dog foods.

Join the Healthy Dog Project
For only $200 per dog, as a member you first receive a detailed questionnaire so you can explain your concerns about your dog’s health. Leslie then uses your answers to create a personalized food plan.
What your plan includes:
- A wholesome, nutritionally balanced recipe with suggested protein sources such as chicken, ground turkey, fish, or whole eggs. The program notes that beef can cause allergies.
- A personalized nutritional supplement list The supplement list is tailored to your dog. The recipe also considers fat-based nutrient digestion and ingredients that support the body’s production of glutathione.
- Shopping and preparation guidance. Links and sources for ingredients, plus instructions for making the food. Prepare a bulk batch, refrigerate one container, and freeze the rest.
Practical details
The amount you make and freeze depends on the size and number of dogs in your family. Often, all dogs in one household can share the same balanced recipe, with individual supplements. For a serious existing medical condition, an additional fee may apply; please call for details.
